Agave Plant – A UNESCO World Heritage Treasure

The Agave plant, a member of the Agavaceae family, is a remarkable succulent native to Central and South America. Known in Turkish as "sabır otu" or "sabır ede", it is often mistaken for Aloe Vera due to its similar appearance. Some species, resembling Yucca, are widely used as ornamental plants.

Commonly referred to as the "Century Plant", the Agave can live for up to 100 years and is renowned for its resilience and adaptability. Recognised by UNESCO as part of the World Heritage List, the Agave plant plays a significant role in sustainable agriculture, with its cultivation actively promoted for environmental conservation.

We are delighted to share that the Agave plants in our gardens have bloomed this year—a rare and extraordinary event, adding to the natural beauty of our surroundings.

The Botanic Tour

Once a week, we invite our guests to explore the greenhouse of our hotel, where they can experience the beauty and diversity of our botanical surroundings.

During this special activity, guests can enjoy fresh organic fruits and herbal teas grown in our very own garden. The tour also includes a short walk around the greenhouse, offering a closer look at the vibrant plant life that flourishes within our landscape.

This unique experience is hosted by our landscape architect, Mr. Ömer Söyleli, who shares fascinating insights about our gardens, ensuring an informative and enjoyable time for all participants.
